📍 Location: Geneva, Switzerland (Biotech Campus) — Frequent travel to Pisa, Italy
🧠Field: Neural Interfaces | Blood Pressure Regulation | Preclinical Research
🚀 Stage: Pre-seed
Neurovia, an EPFL spinoff is developing a novel, minimally invasive endovascular neural implant designed for blood pressure modulation via targeted neuromodulation of the renal nerves. Coming from LSBI, the globally leading laboratory for soft and stretchable bioelectronics, currently at the pre-seed stage, we are preparing for a series of in-vivo porcine trials in collaboration with a clinical research center in Pisa, Italy.

We’re looking for a Preclinical Lead to take charge of our animal experimentation efforts. You’ll be based in Geneva and will travel frequently to Pisa to perform surgical implantations, data collection, and early-stage validation of our device.
🔍 What you’ll be doing
Lead and execute in-vivo trials in porcine models focused on blood pressure regulation
Coordinate with surgical teams in Pisa for scheduling, logistics, and trial execution
Perform surgical catheterization and stent-like implantations via minimally invasive techniques
Acquire and analyze physiological signals related to hemodynamic function and neural activity
Investigate outcomes, report findings, and provide evidence-based feedback to drive design improvements
Contribute scientific input on physiological mechanisms, pathology, and neuromodulatory strategies
🎓 Who you are
Background in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Physiology, Medicine, or related fields
Hands-on experience conducting large animal trials with cardiovascular implantables or neuromodulatory focus (Ideally stent retrievers or similar devices)
Strong understanding of neurophysiology of blood pressure control, including:
Sympathetic regulation, baroreflex pathways, and renal nerve involvement
Clinical knowledge of hypertension, including orthostatic hypotension
Proficient in catheter-based procedures and familiar with imaging-guided techniques for stent or lead placement
Experience with implantable neural interfaces or neuromodulation systems
Strong analytical skills for interpreting both neural and hemodynamic data
Collaborative, communicative, and solutions-driven
Must speak English fluently, French or Italian are a plus.
